Hi! I’m Sebastian and I’m 10 years old, and I LOVE karting more than anything! 🏁

I started karting at TeamSport Cambuslang. At first it was just really fun, but then I realised I wanted to be really good at it. Now I train most Sundays at Race Academy. I work super hard on my speed, my race moves, and trying to be more consistent every time I drive.

We don’t even have our own kart yet — but that doesn’t stop me! I just keep trying my absolute best every single time I’m on track.

This year I’m racing in the Daniel Ricciardo Series – DRS40, which is really exciting and also a little bit scary because the drivers are really good! My big goal is to learn loads, get better every race, and prove I can compete with tough drivers. I live in Scotland, so we have to travel really far to race. That can be tricky, but I don’t let that stop me. I use KartSim at home to practise so I can turn up ready to race, not just take part. This is just the start of my journey, and I’m going to keep pushing as hard as I can!

how does kartsim help to prepare for races?

Racing in the Daniel Ricciardo Series means I have to drive on tracks I’ve never even seen before. Since I live in Scotland, I can’t always go and practise at the tracks down south. So at Christmas my family got me a simulator with KartSim UK, and it’s amazing! It helps me: • Learn new tracks before I race on them • Practise the best racing lines and braking points • Make fewer mistakes • Feel more confident before race weekends My goal is simple: show up ready from the very first session and give it everything I’ve got. The simulator helps me practise loads between races so I can keep improving and work towards owning my own kart one day and going even further in racing. And no matter what, even when it’s hard, I’ll always keep trying my very best.

biggest achievement?

Some of the things I’m really proud of are: • Getting my Race Academy Advanced Licence • Qualifying twice for a super tough local BIKC • Passing the Daniel Ricciardo Series Academy Passing the DRS Academy was a HUGE moment for me because now I get to race in DRS40 this year. It feels like a big step towards my dream!

What got you into racing?

When I was seven, I went to a laser tag party at TeamSport Cambuslang. I saw the karts zooming around the track and I couldn’t stop watching them. I just knew I wanted to try it! As soon as I turned eight, my dad took me karting for the first time — and I was completely hooked. After that I joined Race Academy, and that’s when I decided I didn’t just want to drive… I wanted to race properly. From then on, I wanted to take it seriously and be the best I can be.
