about

Hi my name is Kacper Astner I am 16 years old and ever since I can remember I've been fascinated by cars especially racing cars and this passion started with radio control cars and then one day I saw a rental kart track and everything took off from then. Then after I kept on coming to my nearest rental place to me which has lead on to me in competing in events such as the Polish championship cup and the French FRKC outdoor events to list some.

how does kartsim help to prepare for races?

Simulation is critical to my training schedule. It enables me to practice and prepare for any type of race without the expense of being on circuit. 90% of this race preparation can be achieved on the simulator so that you can maximise the circuit testing opportunities. I use the simulator to do specific drills that cover all race eventualities in wet and dry conditions that include qualification runs, race simulation and various scenarios e.g. leading, defending.

biggest achievement?

My best achievement so far is winning two of the local races back to back with a 15 second lead each.

What got you into racing?

My dad took me to our local karting track at age of 9 where, if you got your lap time down to 35 secs, you could enter a little Sunday morning academy. I loved it and the next step was some club go-kart racing and one thing led to another.
