Charlie is a 12year old Inter Rotax driver from Hertfordshire who has progressed exceptionally fast in karting. This is his first year of owner driving and he’s definitely made a good impression.

Karting is his life and if he’s not racing he’s at a practice session or on his sim. He is fully committed to the sport and has learnt so much on and off the track already. He’s not afraid to get stuck in as a mechanic either.

Charlie has stormed into the karting world, leaving an impression wherever he goes. He won Rye Houses 2025 Spa Championship in his rookie year, which was a ‘pro level’ Championship. He broke the cadet track record multiple times at Whilton Mill within weeks of starting the academy there. In owner karting he has had numerous top 10 finishes in large grids with seasoned drivers on a club and national level.

Kart sim is a vital tool for Charlie as it allows him to learn all the tracks. As he is new to karting there are many tracks he hasn’t been able to race yet but having kart sim enables him to learn them, giving him a great advantage when he does visit a new track. The tracks are extremely accurate and are an incredibly helpful resource for him to use, especially before a race weekend.

Winning Driver of the Weekend at Whilton Mill’s Winter Open Cup in February (whilst still a novice) out of 243 drivers.

We took Charlie to a driver development day at the end of 2024 at Rye House and his lap times were so good he was invited to race in their championship the same day. The championship he went on to win.
